In the early stages of the Gender Expansive Teaching project, surveys were sent to a large sample of teachers, parents, and other caregivers to assess common perceptions of gender nonconformity in early childhood. Here, some of the most common misconceptions are broken down and explained, so that we are all on the same page about the importance of gender inclusive education.
